Hi, I’m Erin Nelson

Close-up of a smiling woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a gray turtleneck sweater, indoors.

I'm a Alberta, Canada based Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor working from a weight inclusive, body liberation framework. I work with people who are done trying harder — who have followed every rule, done everything right, and still feel like they're failing.

Whether you are leaving dieting behind, navigating disordered eating, or finding your way through an eating disorder — the work looks different for each person, and that's the point. I work from trauma-informed and social justice lenses, because the systems people live inside shape their relationship with food and their body in ways that can't be ignored. That includes the systems that police gender, sexuality, and body size. If you've spent time in healthcare spaces that didn't quite hold all of you — you're specifically welcome here.

I don't start from a plan. I start from where you are — that day, in that session, with whatever you're carrying. From there we figure out together what actually matters and what the next right step looks like for you.

What I want most is for the people I work with to leave our sessions feeling seen — like someone finally heard the whole story, not just the part about food.

If you've been carrying this for a long time — I'm glad you found your way here.

Guiding Values

Nourish

You deserve nourishment here and now—anything that brings you peace, joy, and a sense of aliveness. Sometimes that means tending to eating so your light can shine; other times it means following what lights you up, which naturally shifts how you eat. Both are deeply connected and influence each other.

Collaborate

We each hold a great deal of wisdom about our own bodies, and this matters immensely in the time we spend together. Our work together is as equal partners, honouring your lived experience as essential expertise and co-creating what matters most to you.

Empower

Empowerment grows from trusting your body, your voice, and your choices. Through shared knowledge, skill-building, and respect for your autonomy, you’re supported to make confident decisions that feel truly aligned.
